CHITRAL – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday said that the accountability of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was necessary for eliminating corruption from the country.
Speaking to media persons after a ceremony was held for cheque distribution of royalty income received from Markhor hunting, during his visit to Chitral, he claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s assets abroad prove that he is involved in corruption and money laundering.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in London because he cannot handle pressure after Panama Papers revelations.
PML-N govt is trying to save Nawaz Sharif through Terms of Reference (TORs) of their own choice, he added.
PTI chief said that suspects facing corruption charges should also be released from jails if the Prime Minister is not held accountable.
Pakistan will be saved and poverty will end if action is taken against PM as law is equal for everyone, he said.
