LAHORE: Supreme Court Bar Association and Lahore High Court Bar Association have decided to formally launch their movement for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the wake of Panama Papers case with a maiden meeting of national action committee convened for next week.
Speaking at a joint press conference Friday, the leaders of the Bars said the prime minister lost every moral justification to stick to his office after the verdict issued by the Supreme Court in the Panama case. They said ‘confessional’ statement of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was enough to hold the Sharif family guilty of money laundering. They said the ministers had been trying to scandalise the judiciary and also launched a propaganda campaign against the members of the JIT holding inquiry to the money laundering allegations against Sharif family.
