Opposition leader Simon Busuttil today vowed to keep on fighting for justice despite police inaction over the Panama Papers scandal.
Speaking during a phone interview on Radio 101, Dr Busuttil referred to an “explosive” interview in The Sunday Times of Malta, in which former police inspector and FIAU investigator Jonathan Ferris revealed that the police had not even bothered to register damning reports which raised suspicions of money-laundering by top government officials.
Dr Busuttil said the lack of action by the police, Attorney General and Prime Minister against Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri was “obscene”.
He questioned how the two men were going to fund €1 million in annual deposits into their Panama companies on their government salaries.
