Govt. shielding names exposed by Panama Papers, says AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday accused the BJP government at the Centre of protecting big names from India whose involvement in corruption had been exposed by the leaked Panama papers.

Reacting to the Pakistan Supreme Court’s order disqualifying Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over undeclared assets, senior AAP leader Ashutosh said that it has been two years since the names of some influential names came to the fore in the Panama Papers case, but no investigation has been initiated against them.

“The BJP had come to power riding on the claim ‘ na khud khaunga, na khaane dunga (neither will I take bribe, nor will I let anyone take it)’. Then how come the inquiry (into Panama Papers case) has not moved an inch,” said Mr. Ashutosh.
