Rohingya Muslims’ genocide protested

PESHAWAR: Various organisations on Saturday staged protest against the genocide of Rohingya Muslims and urged the Islamic world to help end atrocities being carried out against the innocent people in Myanmar.

Tanzeem-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa held a protest rally outside the Peshawar Press Club. The protesters were addressed by the Tanzeem’s leaders who condemned Myanmar junta for killing innocent Muslims. The participants were carrying placards and banners featuring images of the Rohingya Mulims, who are facing indescribable atrocities at the hands of the Myanmar army. The protesters later marched to the Khyber Bazaar, raising slogans against the Myanmar government.

The Traders Alliance and Peshawar Cantonment also took out a rally against the killing of Muslims in Myanmar. President of the Alliance, Qaisar Javed led the rally, which culminated in a demonstration outside the Peshawar Press Club after marching through various bazaars and markets.
