D’Arconte: This is NOT Calibri

I hope I’m not the only one who thinks this way: I hate Calibri.

You’re probably sitting there with you newspaper in your hand and saying, What the heck is Calibri? If you’re reading this on line, you might be closer to the truth.

Calibri is the default type font you find in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, WordPad, you know, all those Apple things.

I’ve worked with different type fonts all my life, but I don’t know much about them.

But I know what I like: Times New Roman, to which I shift all my devices.

Times New Roman was designed for print, but the folks at Microsoft decided that ink on paper was dead, so they had a new font created, Calibri.

It was designed by Luc de Groot between 2002 and 2004 and released to the public in 2007.
