Panama case was a farce: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE: Daughter of former prime minister and PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz on Monday termed the Panama Papers case, which led to the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif, as a game which is “now an open secret”.

Maryam also termed the case against Nawaz as a farce and stated that no corruption was alleged, and if corrupt practices were involved, the decision would not have been based on an iqama. 

In another tweet, the former first daughter said starting an election campaign before time will cost more.

In an apparent reference to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, she further said PTI is not doing all the rallies on their own accord and are carrying “out the orders given to them”. 

Criticism of the PTI by PML-N leaders has increased after the recent ruling in Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen disqualification case.
