“NAB has confiscated the properties,” the additional attorney general told the apex court.
The development comes a day after an accountability court asked the Punjab government to confiscate three plots owned by Dar, his spouse Tabassum and son Ali Mustafa, Dawn reported.
Dar, the father-in-law of deposed former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s younger daughter, has been declared an absconder in a case pertaining to his assets. He went to London in October last year but never came back to face the trial.
“The talks are being held with the UK government for Dar’s arrest,” the paper quoted the additional attorney general as saying.
Following the attorney general’s remarks, the case’s hearing was adjourned till an unspecified date.
The case of asset beyond means was launched against
