President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed fears that “looters” in the opposition may out-spend the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 16 presidential election.
Buhari, who issued a press statement he personally signed on Sunday, said the alleged looters have “powerful resources” at their disposal, and which they intend to deploy for the forthcoming general elections.
The President backed his claim with intelligence report he received from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on illicit funds in circulation ahead of the elections.
