For proof, look no further than what the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards each year: In the last 10 years of the Academy Awards, seven times the coveted award for best actor has gone to someone portraying a real person, including last year when Rami Malek won for “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
